BLABBERASTIC SEMANTICS ist ein Colaboalbum zwischen dem niederländischen Rapper BlabberMouf und dem Produzenten Sneadr. Sneadr ist ein exzellenter Produzent und Blabber hat bereits einige Klassiker-Alben veröffentlicht. Dieses Album entstand einfach zur richtigen Zeit am richtigen Ort! 16 Sessions an Ort und Stelle ergaben 16 Knaller.
Beide Künstler kennen sich schon lange. Sneadr war in der selben Crew (TIPB) wie BlabberMouf B-Boy und fing zu selben Zeit an Beats zu bauen. Das ist heute 10 Jahre her und die beiden haben sich zu vollwertigen Hip-Hop-Künstlern mit verschiedenen Projekten entwickelt. Es war immer klar, dass dieses Album gemacht werden würde, es war nur eine Frage der Zeit.
Die Atmosphäre auf BLABBERASTIC SEMANTICS ist vielfältig. Sie reicht von harten, dreckigen Burnern bis hin zu sanften, vibrierenden Tracks. Natürlich gibt es den schnell rappenden Ragamuffin-Einfluss und interessante Konzepte, die von Track zu Track variieren. Die Herangehensweise hier fühlt sich anders und spontaner an als bei früheren Werken.
Wenn man bedenkt, dass alle Songs an Ort und Stelle entstanden sind, wie z.B. ”nothing was pre meditated before the session”, was bedeutet, dass alles im Studio in der Hitze des Augenblicks geschrieben wurde. Auch die meisten Beats sind auf diese Weise entstanden, mit ein paar Ausnahmen. In diesem Sinne ist dieses Album eine Art “back to the roots”, mehr im Moment leben und nicht alles überdenken. Wir lassen das Unperfekte so, wie es ist.

This album just kinda happened right place right time type shit! 16 on the spot sessions resulting in 16 bangers.
Both artists go way back. Sneadr was a B-boy who hung out with the crew (TIPB) that BlabberMouf was in and started to make beats around that time. Thats 10 years ago today and the guys have both developed into full blown hip hop artists with various projects to their names. It was always meant to happen that this album would get made it was just the matter of when.
The atmosphere on the BLABBERASTIC SEMANTICS is diverse. Going from hard grimey bangers but also more smooth vibey tracks. Of course there is the fast rapping ragamuffin influence and interesting concepts that vary from track to track. The approach here feels different and more spontaneous than previous works.
Considering all the songs were made on the spot as in ‘’nothing was pre meditated before the session’’ meaning everything was written in the studio in the heat of the moment. Most of the beats where also made that way with a few exceptions. In that sense, it’s a back to the roots kinda of thing on this album, living more in the moment and not over thinking everything. Leaving the imperfect as is, more like it was in the earlier releases RAW.
